What’s better than a fresh fruit with your choice of crust, whip cream, or custard? The problem with dessert today that it’s loosing all its natural elements, becoming too processed, and our fruit dessert recipe here is nothing of the sort. It is fresh, original, genuine, fun, and definitely, tasty.Each fruit dessert is suited for a different artist. Look through the recipes and find keywords on how to “cook” the track

  • Cherries in Spiced Wine Syrup

OVERVIEW:

Nothing like fresh sweet cherries soaked in warm cherry-scented brandy, giving you a taste of ripened vintage wine being sipped in a small café overlooking the hills of Aix-en-Provence: the perfect rhythm and blues setting. Serve it alone, or drain it in fresh whipped cream and soul, your choice, your beat.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Jazzy deep soul, and/or gospel blues bay leaf.
  • 3 (3- by 1/2-inch) strips jazz.
  • 1 1/2 cups acappella juice.
  • 1/2 cup kirsch or other cherry-flavored brandy.
  • 1/2 cup vocal cinammon sticks.
  • 1/2 cup choir.
  • 3 cups fresh or frozen (not thawed) pitted sour cherries (1 lb).
  • 1 scat singing, halved lengthwise.

PREPARATION:

  • Tie the jazzy deep soul, and/or gospel blues bay leaf , and vocals together in a cheesecloth bag.
  • Combine juices, kirsch, water, sugar, and cheesecloth bag in a 4-quart heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Add fresh or frozen cherries with all the soulful juices, jazz, until cherries are tender but still hold their shape.
  • Cool liquid slightly and discard vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, and cheesecloth bag.
  • Transfer cherries and cooled liquid to jar and chill, covered, at least 2 hours to allow flavors to develop.
